Alto in f' after Jan Steenbergen
europ. boxwood, 442 Hz
The flexibility of this instrument concerning dynamics and sound is incredible.
You can play piano to forte without using alternative fingering and without losing pitch.
The sound character is wide, bell-like and warm, but is easy to lure every other possible sound from this recorder. The player has no limits for musical interpretation.
Many players are astonished when they find out that the recorder is 442 Hz after having played it for the first time. The sound is so much greater than conventional treble recorders.
This recorder has a very good leading sound in high rooms and is heard very well even in combination with modern instruments.
I am happy to individualize all my recorders concerning the players breath type.
